3D Printing companies are becoming more common. HP will underprice them all. The multiples are way too high for such a little moat.
HP is far behind in the 3d printing industry. They have no patents or prototypes. Their best bet (economically) is to buyout a profitable company like 3D Systems. Then they will be in the game big time!
No worries about HP, they don't have any patent. If HP wants a piece, they would have to buyout someone and that is only good for DDD/SSYS. $70 PT for DDD.
Don't rule out consolidation. HP is a bit late to the party. It would take them years to become a serious 3D player. A more likely scenario is an acquisition of DDD.
Short DDD but seriously. HP? They're too busy laying off workers to think about 3D printing.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
HP is worth almost 55 BILLION dollars. Acquiring DDD or Stratasis is well within their capabilities.
