Does anyone know how Sharp and BP are doing with the solar boom. They should be among the big short-term winners of solar incentives but as a small part of their big business, it wouldn't show up much. And Sharp isn't even an ADR - very hard to buy here. (Same with LG Electronics, a company I am interested in for their Energy Star refrigerators and such.)
Although Sharp is projecting their solar sales to go from $1.3 billion in 2005 to $1.7 billion in 2006 (approx. 30% increase,) this alone would probably not affect their overall bottom line by very much.
I heard Sharp had approx. 50% solar panel share in Japan, and approx 27% worldwide.
