Most expensive? If you figure the true cost of fossil fuels including pollution, premature death, and the cost to keep armies protecting oil fields on the other side of the world, and the transfer of large amounts of our GDP to countries that are mostly hostile to us I think you will find solar and wind to be the cheapest energy sources. Will they ever get to 100%? Of course not, but I think 30% by 2050 is not out of the question.
There you guys go again with the "OIL" thing again.
First and foremost solar panels will not get us or anyone off of oil. That is what the corrupt media and politicians will lie to tell you. Plastics, roads, cars are what will still add to our need for oil. Solar will not have one iota of impact.
Less than 5% of electricty is produced from oil. That's a fact. Get used to it.
Zoop! Where ya been? Priced any solar systems lately espcially across the river in Jersey? I think you will find the deals are a bit better than they were a couple of years back. And I think they will be better a couple of years hence.
No matter how you deny it solar is here to stay, and grow.
