    Tell Total to go to hell

    So we sell sunpower to Italy. Evergreen is going broke. Then you have all the left wingers all happy and giddy about keeping the National RenewableEnergy Lab open, a lab that produces nothing so we can buy all our photovoltaic panels from China, Japan, Germany, and now Italy.

    What complete morons on this board.

      Any way you look at it, us morons are making $$$ on this deal and you are not!

      • I am of course happy that a position with a slight loss has turned into a very nice gain, the premium paid is quite high versus the last market price. Undoubtedly this stock had great promise and capacity for gains may very well be higher than Total paid, so I would not have been too upset if they rejected the offer.

        On the positive side for the sector, says a lot that an oil company is buying solar, sought of an ultimately doomed industry realizing it needs to get into the next energy phase. It will be good for solar given the R&D monies, the fact that they are now in the takeover arena, and gets us out of this constant issue with pricing, subsidies, and wrong analysts who don't know what they are talking about
