Total is an oil company. They are going to ruin this company on purpose. Sunpower makes the best solar panels please tell total to go to hell. If you do you are selling out to big oil. The whole reason you invested in the first place was clean energy.

Speak for yourself, I invested here to make money. Thank you Total!
In case you haven't noticed, oil companies are first and foremost in the energy business. If the conditions become such that alt. energy makes a buck for them, why wouldn't they have interest.
Total isn't the first oil company to make investments in alt. energy.
Moreover, in case you didn't read the news, SPWRA management will still be running the company.
You might be suffering from some rectocranial inversion.
To the longs. You spent your life touting solar energy. You know it works, I know it works. There is no other industry that has had the growth in the last 5 years like solar photovoltaics. Right at the tipping point. You decide to sell to Total at bargain basement prices. The growth potential in the company is massive. you will easily see 200 at the end of the decade without total. Do the math.
Are you short? That's the only way your arguments make sense.
Total is an oil company. Sooner or later oil will run out. Smart companies will make investments in other energy sources. That's what Total is doing. Same management. A huge amount of cash to expand more rapidly. And this thing would never reach $200. Not by a long shot. It dropped from $70 two years ago and hasn't been close since.
So we sell sunpower to Italy. Evergreen is going broke. Then you have all the left wingers all happy and giddy about keeping the National RenewableEnergy Lab open, a lab that produces nothing so we can buy all our photovoltaic panels from China, Japan, Germany, and now Italy.
What complete morons on this board.
