Since earning on November 1, 2010 the pps has risen 7 times after ER, remained flat 1 time, and fallen 3 times. In the last year, 2 ups and 2 downs...for what it's worth. I am long into earnings.
There will always be a group that sells after earnings...for whatever reason...dissatisfaction, impatience, differing opinion on guidance...this is the dip you will see for the first 1/2 day after earnings if the stock stays true to history...Then after that you enter the #$%$ zone...You can have great earnings and a drop...or bad earnings and a drop...or the reverse..That's why we aren't all rich...if we knew we would load up and keep it hush hush...well I'd tell you all :)
I've been in and out of this issue for years and you are entirely right about the typical downward movement immediately after release and anyone who says different is simply wrong. This said, it usually recovers and of late, recovers quickly and then moves higher. In fact, weakness immediately after the last report allowed be to get back in at a good value.

I guess you didn't get the message or you don't believe me so you look it up ! Press "historical Prices" on the top header of this page. Go to May2 the date of the last earnings release. Read the closing price for May2,3,and 4th. The PPS went up so don't say anyone who says the earnings DON'T always go down is simply wrong ! Don't believe the "shorts" who make up their own FACTS and expect you to believe them without checking. Good Luck!
Doesn't this company have a history of the share price dropping on the earnings news?
Why are you asking that question ? Don't you know how to find the FACTS !
The last earnings for Q1 were released on MAY 2 and the PPS was $8.33, on May3 the PPS was higher @ $8.55, on May 4 the PPS was again higher @ $8.76 , today the PPS is $11.64 which is a good profit for 3 months ! THIS IS NOT 2012 !
So sorry that you have no access to charts to see for yourself. If you are asking a question in the heading, end your question with a question mark. But it appears yours is a statement to infer an agenda of dubious intent. (?)
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I am relatively new here but the stock has been performing wonderfully in the las month. My guess it's all on the heels of the new product already sold out on pre orders. CEO very aggressive to increase online iniatives. I would not place my bets against this. And the fact is it is still relatively undervalued.
