I have no idea what the PPS will do today and that comes with any heavy shorted stock. The PPS will settle down but it will take a few days to do that. On the PLUS side, LF should beat earnings and revenue estimates with the help of overseas sales. On the negative side the revenue will beat last years revenue but the earnings will fall short of last year for this quarter, next quarter and the year. At the close on Friday we were up one penny from a year ago which can be a plus since their will be no "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" tomorrow. This year only one insider was buying 25k shares not counting options.
Without knowing the sales, forward guidance, amount of plus side surprises, we are just guessing on where the PPS will go tomorrow and into next quarter. I still have a good feeling about this stock but it's a hard nut to crack when it comes to trying to figure it out. They seem to have the best tablet for kids out there but the market for them in the U.S. seems to be soft this year. Good Luck !
and this post is the useless
I advise to go to theToys are us web site and review the lf products and ranking and etc - U might form your own opinion - instead of repeating inaccurate, incomplete and usless data
Value Line just released a new report on LF, dated 11/8. They were cautiously optimistic but note that shares "either lose 50% of their value or double nearly every year". Short term volatility should give way to decent longer-term capital appreciation. No mention of M&A opportunities.
In the final analysis it's all about earnings folks, and according to the VL projection, unless there is a dramatic turn in the 4QTR, they will be less this year ($.60) than last ($.95), though trending up to $.70 next year. We'll see.
A director buying open market at $9.10 is a bode of confidence in future growth. That was a total purchase of over a quarter mil. The date of purchase was September 3 which is likely the last date an insider could buy/sell. A bet that large on that day is not a coincedence. Hopefully international opportunities will be a point of excitement for the market.
