    • Big Toy companies are waiting until they see LF turn around earnings and add new products and markets until they buy them. The last two quarters probably have scared them off a bit.

Maybe, but maybe not ! Here is my way of looking at it........

        1. LeapFrog with a low PPS and being beat up because of the last 2 Quarters of earnings is about as cheap as you could buy it for.

        2. They would be getting the number 1 "Kids Tablet" on the market in addition to many more great products.

        3. They have a well know Brand Name that retailors use as a leader product to get customers in the store and kids want what other kids have.

        4. Many think that LeapFrog needs to improve their "Marketing Network" to better control inventories and logistic. A big brother company like Mattel could help make them more effective.

        5. The suitor of LeapFrog not only gets a no DEBT company but a company with CASH on hand.

        6. And last, but not least, they would get us, the loyal followers that have been there to support the Frog thur thick and thin !

    • OH WELL ...

Mattel announced today that it is buying the Canadian toy company Mega Brands for $460 million. For that price, Mattel gets a dominant player in the $4 billion construction building sets toy category, along with a promising group of brands in the $2 billion arts and crafts category. Mattel doesn't appear to have overpaid for these assets, either: It is buying the company for less than 10 times Mega Brands' 2013 profit and slightly more than one times sales. Mattel's stock is up 1.1% in pre-market trading.

      Sentiment: Hold
