i am thinking this etf is going to take a hit as 1) more sources of crude come on line and 2) eps targets are revised. any comments on crude hitting $55-60 in the next 6 months? How about eps for the group dropping 30%?
first posted in 2/10. around 7/10, VDE did drop but not as much as the "experts" predicted. ie. covered companies p/e adjustments. in 2/10 i was looking for some input but there was no responses to my message. pay attention to the posting dates if you want to look intelligent in your replies...now it's a new environment and mlp/reits may be the new home for my VDE gains....
i didn't make the remark about it dropping, you did.i haven't posted very much on this message board anyway.i stop in from time to time and check the activity on the board.i have been in this etf since about 67.00 a share.when people make a bold statement, they need to stand behind their post, you made the statement for some reason.(ever thought of clarifying your statement)?then someone may not make the statement like i did.good luck what ever you do.
Your crystal ball is very cloudy. You could be a great hedge fund manager. Ever considered it? This ETF is NOT for speculating it's for investing. You should speculate in gold ETFs since gold is nothing but a specualtion. Good luck.
boy you sure called that one, have any more i can go long on?
Haven't seen energy prices dropping, this stock sure has.
where did it drop?http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=VDE+Interactive#chart1:symbol=vde;range=1y;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=on;source=undefined
i recently read something about the fund not tracking its target index because the way they weighted for large companies. supposedly they are fixing.so now the etf is below a p/e of 14 and crude and ng are diving because of world demand. the lawers are linning up to go after a couple of the big ones.i think the bad news hasn't stopped coming in and will hold off buying until the news gets worse...
