My opinion is that Phil will recognize for the good of the shareholders who he loves so much that it is now time for someone with the moral stature and financial expertise of Gaylen Byker to step in and run the company.
I also believe Gaylen will shore up his sagging BOD with the appointment of Father Robert Sirico.
The super majors will all sit up and take notice of the "shake-up" and flood Gaylen with phone calls.
IMO, a number of soverign countries will also want to send delegations so it could take a few more years to sort out all the offers.
My own opinion is that IOC will go BK before Calvin. Gaylen should put his money where his mouth is and put some real business people like Philippe and Pierre on his Bd of Trustees so they can straighten the place out.
Also, the Calvin policy of not admitting gays is hurting the college!!!!!!
If "The Bids" turn out to be.............Non-accretive..........(read #$%$)
I would think Phil would resign with a going away statement something like......
"The Bids, turned out to be less than what we had hoped for,
(pause to clear throat)
"The shareholders probably want to know who started the fiii......Errrr....I mean, why the bids turned out to be so low"
"That's what we all want to know.''
