How MOS trades is stunning or stupid, maybe both. The YTD range is $56 to $64 until May. Since May, its dropped off to $52 and looked to

stabilize there. Then the cartel issue dropped it to $40, a 4-year low. Now it is struggling to hold the 4-year lows. How much of the cartel issue os holding this back, or is it something more?

    • It mainly dropped to 52 because the price of corn was tanking due to favorable weather conditions. Since the dust settled on the cartel news, MOS is back to trading primarily with the price of corn. MOS was down early today with the market. Then corn spiked and MOS came back. As I type this, corn is up nicely about 2.75% and MOS is basically flat (which is considered a good day because the DOW is down 200). If the DOW were flat, I think we'd see MOS up over 2% for sure.

The corn price/crop today has nothing to do with MOS being at 4-year lows. No correlation at all. I just recently went long again at 40.04, so not hurting. I already had a good gain following the initial drop. I am just saying that WS treats this like no one will ever eat again, hence no need for the ferts. WS is hitting them all, not just MOS. Some serious disconnect with reality at this price.
