Just wait until we get the first weather scare during the growing season. It has to come and it does come every year. It could wait until harvest time but it will come. Then the price of agricultural commodities shoots up to the stars. That's the time get out! Now's the time to buy DBA,
Seasonally, the late April to early July period is the best time to speculate on a rise in Ags. So far the signs are good---either too much or too little water, or too much or too little heat. SE Asia and south China are disaster areas of drought, and a failure of the Indian monsoon is possible this year. Thios could send soybeans, corn, wheat and sugar (each 25% of DBA) sharply up.
This may be a bad investment stock but it always has at least a 20% change in price during the growing season. You can make a lot of money just playing the weather scare with this stock alone. What's wrong with 20% a year on your money? (And most of the year your money can lay in a money market just waiting for the growing season).
And, the interesting thing is that the price of DBA is controlled by the price of the underlying commodities + contangy etc. BUT, not the number of speculators who buy this REIT! So, I do not help/hurt my personal position in DBA by recommending it to the whole world! It's the weather, stupid.
