    AP Article on suit.

Just read the Article on the Shareholders suit.
    The suit is a joke!!!

The Plaintiff's are saying that the payments from Intel were NOT illegal, what they are complaining about is that the payments made Dell's profit seem to high.

Duh.....if the cost of parts(intel chips) is lower...then one would expect profit to be up!!!!!

    • whether they (plaintiffs) complain that the Intel payments are illegal or not, doesnt matter. EIther way, Dell artificially inflated their profits, and that is a big big no no. That is not only unethical, but it is ILLEGAL.

Whats worse is that this class action lawsuit is the least of their problems, the others are:
CEO suddenly quits, SEC Investigation, Sweeping employee layoffs, Bonuses Removed, Loss of Market share, Outdated Business Model. And of cource a class action lawsuit.

How many redflags do you need in your face before reading the writing on the wall. Be careful investors. Use your instincts and dont believe the hype.

I know you didn't mean to understate the danger, but you missed a few items. First, you forgot about the CFO suddenly quiting. You seem to be implying there is only one class action lawsuit. There are a slew of class action lawsuits.

The glory days are far behind this company. It really isn't clear there ever were glory days. Much of it might be a fabrication. We will have to wait for the SEC and DOJ to finish their investigation before we know what published figures we can trust.

    • You are missing an important point. If this really happened, it was illegal. And as such, that means the company was keeping information about it away from the share holders. The share holders did not get to see a 'proper' set of financial metrics to make an informed choice of whether they wanted to be invested in Dell or not.

If that really happened, Dell is liable.
