Yes, it is true. We have a couple of Dell employees posting here and they will confirm this. The honest truth is the rank-and-file employee just doesn't care any more. They have been threatened and squeezed so many times, they don't care if Dell succeeds. They just pretend to do their job, but don't go the extra mile.
That is good! It will help this company auger in faster!
Awesome! Rumor on the street is axe will whack 10K more globally. Maybe they'll really get rid of the dead weight this time. Bet Mikey can hardly wait until stock prices fall even farther, really helps his buy back cost. And something even better will be when he cans all of the high paid long-term employees with lots of underwater options that eliminate the liabilty. Did Mikey do an internship during high school at Enron? Gee, he is from Houston right? As he has shown no college degree is necessary in this kind of business.
I will never buy a Dell computer again until 95% or more of what I read says they have their act together on quality and customer service. Not trashing them but with the vista problems and Dell's problems their is not a lot of incentive for me to buy a PC now or a Dell. I want the best value for my money period.
