It is absolutely true that most corporations are long overdue for the equipment upgrade. Unfortunately, all they are doing these days is tightening up. People are being fired all over the price. Costs are being cut. Unemployment is high everywhere and it doesn't really look like it is going to let up any time soon.
Even if the current situation improves, it will take a long time before corporations will start buying new PCs for all those people they did not yet had a chance to re-hire.
In my opinion, the reason why Dell is not doing as well as HP or Apple is exactly because they "DON'T SELL PHONES AND GADGETS". If they did, it would help them tremendously.
Cramer said to buy Apple and sell Dell. He is wrong, as he often is. Dell is positioned better than anyone else to cater to corporate America once businesses begin to recap their ADP. Cramer and all the pundits are missing this point. Apple and HP are making money in the cell phone and toy computer market. However, the real money is in corporate America. And, Dell is just biding its time.
