In the bankruptcy court in Manhattan next Friday, Mesa Air Group Inc. (MESAQ) will seek approval of its plan to exit bankruptcy a year after entering Chapter 11. The Phoenix carrier is asking U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn in New York to sign off on its plan that gives control of company to its unsecured creditors and a 10% equity stake to its biggest customer, US Airways Group Inc.
The plan restructures Mesa's more than $2 billion in debt and will keep it flying connector flights for US Airways Group's (LCC) US Airways and United Continental Holdings Inc.'s (UAL) United Airlines.
