DJ MARKET TALK: Michael Dell Says Company No Longer Just For PCs

That's what CEO Michael Dell wants everyone to know as he unveils a plethora of corporate servers and storage products. The company talks up its fast networking, cloud products and successes against competitors such as Hewlett-Packard (HPQ). "People used to think of us as the PC guys," Dell says, but stresses the company is grabbing sales from competitors by offering comprehensive portfolios of products. Be careful!!!! DELL is in a transition phase. Most likely it will fail because they don't understand the enterprise and storage well enough. The risk for DELL to drop their PC business is high. If you have money to burn, then it is ok to buy more shares.
Due dillegence is always recommended... but Dell has been a major player in the Enterprise Server space and was the only one to gain ground in that space last quarter. On the point of storage, Dell purchased Equalogics & Compellent - along with their knowledge and customer base...
