Dell Computer Corporation (DELL) Message Board

    To all LONGS and SHORTS

It is PATHETIC how most (not all) of what I read
on this board is bragging about how smart they were
to be Short when Dell is going down or Long when
Dell is going up. Guess what?

    I DON'T
    CARE

How about telling what you think as of today. Will
Dell continue to go down? Shorts, what price are you
waiting for to cover? Why? Longs, are you hanging in
    there or bailing out, why?

architecture.Dell is NOT one of them.

    • I sold all my Dell @65 1/8 after Fed cuts! Enough! I should sell all my Dell when it went 70s.

    • any competitor. U guys r so short sighted. M.Dell
did not react to Dell stock last few days b/c he
knows Dell will have blow out quaters coming. Let u
guys do all the trash talk about Dell and our Dell
longs just sit back, relax and collect long term
      profit.

Dun mess with Dell, advice 4 u shorties.

    • I have 14000 shares. I have had Dell stock for 4
years. My experience has been that if you just hang on
you will benefit. A lot of people on this board are
daytraders and shorters and think that by intimidating the
investors like you and I they can benefit. Dell is a
company that you should not gamble with. You should look
at your money invested in Dell as a long term
investment. You will benefit more that way. So, just hang on
and wether the minimal ups and downs. I am often
criticized for the amount of money I have invested in Dell,
but the way I look at it is history is the best story
      of all.

    • I have said this before earnings and continue to
believe this will happen. I think Dell will begin an
upward trend in Dec., and build right up to Q4 earnings
in Feb.. I think Dell will be in the 90's by 4th
      quater earnings

      • earnings. They know the season is jolly and IT
mgrs shoot their loads. They are looking past into 2000
        and at shrinking margins
        Gartner Groups"nuclear
winter" for non y2k IT spending in 3 and 4
        Q next year
and bandwidth proliferation furthe reducing the need
        for powerful desktops(not that it matters,by 2000 4Q
a 400MHz will cost 400$) and IBM chairman Lou
confidently declaring"The age of the pc as we know it is
over" and that NC is upon us.Predicting
        shre price
is not doable since institutions havent yet decided
what to do(greener pastures out there)Good luck!

New Las Vegas Hotel buys Dell....how much did that cost them?

        <eom>

    • similar to what happened last May when Dell beat
the street but not the whisper, then we should see an
approx. 20% pullback from the latest high which was
      around 73.

My guess is that we will see Dell hit
the 100 day moving average, which is around 58, and
then stabilize around that area for another three to
four weeks. After that, around mid December, Dell
should start to make it's usual rise toward next
      earnings in February.

      All just my humble opinion,
      of course.

    • dell always,always reaches new highs,,,,why ever
sell at a loss??just wait till it goes back up...which
is always has in time....be patient...money
manage...buy on dips..invest money you dont need for next
month....and keep looking at the long term dell
chart......allen will lower rates in a few hours...
