Wasn't it Armand Hammer who headed Occidental Petroleum in the past. I recall he had good contacts and good will in the Soviet Union, and was criticized for that by the right. Isn't the US being nice to Mr Putin. Maybe a far fetched overture, and perhaps I'm wrong about Armand Hammer's connection to Occidental petroleum and perhaps the present company has no such connection. Will the US government charge for its security detail in South America?
