Looks like PLUG on the ropes. Seems to me that PLUG and FCEL are not even close to same space but I can't see why FCEL has been such a laggard. Guilt by association? Or just too much happy talk on this board for FCEL even though they too still lose money? Personally I like what I see from FCEL but that doesn't matter.
Same space to me was regarding how they deploy and markets they serve; like datacenters .v. lift trucks; one power plant .v. 873 forklift components. But you're right that I'm not a scientist and don't know the similarities in the technology.
The pink sheets are full of the remnants of so called alternative energy companies. Looks like Plug will soon be joining the ranks. I doubt Fuel Cell will ever turn a profit but with subsidies from the state of CT, which seems obsessed with describing itself as a fuel cell leader, Fuel Cell may well spend the next 10 years swimming around the $1.00 range.
It's hard to say if this is good or bad but from time to time you do wonder if some naive investor commits serious capital to this show based on some hype he read on the Mötley Fool or something like that.
