After being a shareholder for years (110k shares) and averaging in from prices higher than I'd like to admit, I am ready for 2013 to be FCELs year. Patience is one thing, being insane is another. Sometimes I wonder which I am.
Kar, this is something Donnie and I have discussed in the past. We seem to have a similar stance on FCEL. Seeing as how FCEL always has the occasional bounce, then beat down, it is a good trading stock if you time your buys/sells accurately. With that being said, any long will admit that FCEL has a bright future. So a core position is a good idea in my opinion. I would hate to sell all my shares thinking I will get in again at a lower price, only to see the share price continue to take off and never look back.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I'm completely for the big picture.... more and more DFC plants as we are delivering today.... coupled with wastewater treatment facilities........... then, once that solar panels reach higher and higher efficiency, those panels coupled with electrolizers.... oxigen & hydrogen stored and "used" into FCEL's modules..... 99,9% clean energy.
When you buy into a Co that is - still - not profitable........ and you like a startup technology, you are insane. Here we all are.
But maybe Insanity is giving us the right vision.
I know exactly what you mean... I am just your average Joe... Been in FCEL for years, and it is probably about 25% of my porfolio... that said, I have less than 5,000 shares... have my cost average down to about $2.73/share, but I remember BUYING 25 shares @ $16.50/share... don't ask how long ago that was. But I have faith... I believe in the technology and believe this country will eventually come around to understanding the importance of clean, renewable energy. Maybe I have too much faith in my fellow Americans, but I have faith nonetheless!
Started a Green Energy Tracking Portfolio in 2003...FCEL wasn't in it yet. By 2011 however,
I watched right off the $2.20 and followed it down to the first and then second .83 cent 52wk low.
Fool me once you M&^(*%%#*&_this time .91 cent average. I tapped the Saddle Bag Boys.
Lets have one !
MD - I feel the same way... I'm no expert, I just like the idea of green energy coupling nicely with Obama's policies... add that to all the good news surrounding the company and we have a recipe for optimism... That said..#$%$ happened the last few weeks??? MMs hammering it down to buy more??? Crazy...
Don't get your hopes up regarding Obama's policies. It appears he is opposed to anything that uses a fossil fuel, hence his funding of research to produce hydrogen from non fossil fuel sources.
