Weather Channel just ran a report on approved installation of 'mini grids' in Connecticut powered by fuel cells to support critical infrastructure during outages. Anyone know if these are Fcel contracts?
CT has both a tax incentive program for microgrid projects and a grant program where the state funds some or all of the project costs. Use "Microgrid Grant and Loan Pilot Program PFA Review Results" to see the full list of projects approved (including fuel cell projects) in the latter category.
To the best of my knowledge, there haven't been announcements yet on any of the fuel cell projects on this list by any fuel cell company. One reason is that once a project it funded, the developer of the project needs to complete the final design and obtain all necessary regulatory approvals before work can be started.
