Not a good comparison. Power one makes utility scale inverters that are easy to price as a commodity. A potential buyer can simply compare the price per watt cost of the inverter with other companies and take the lowest bid. This will put pricing pressure on the utility scale inverter sector this year as pointed out in the IMS reasearch report.
The ZBB/Tier PECC is unique in that it is not simply an inverter but an out of the box power management system capably of integrating multiple generating sources with power storage capability. This allows businesses/organizations to optimize their power source and also benefit from energy arbitrage trade. I.e., purchasing power during off peak, lower priced tiers and using the power during higher priced peak periods. Also, ZBB is an energy storage company and this will be a rapidly growing sector in the next several years.
