Wave of voLTE deployments in 2013...

    SOURCE: Barrons today

The "wave of voLTE" by all major carriers (VZ, ATT, TMol) is the basis of APKT upgrade this morning.

High tide lifts all boats. SONS should ride on VZ deployment to $3's before the year is out.

      • I like you RICK, you are A.O.K. in my book because like myself, YOU HAVE NO CLUE on what is really going to happen! You just merely show up on this board trying to visably grab my goat because it is litterally so easy to do to difinitly think you will get under my SKIN like the great Student_grad always does. So even though I pretend I don't see these rabbid posters who always laugh at me, this is because my use of my STEW POT, which is so Smart and Wonderful on my part that I can actually LOOK THE OTHER WAY.

    • throw in lync biz and the possibility of a new session player like skype and we might have a winner.

      • Don't know who started this posting thread as whatever id is was, it is already floating away in my STEW POT,...but the article completely CONFIRMS and verifies what I said was the truth BACK IN OCT./NOV. 2011....and what APKT CEO said was the truth back in OCT./NOV. 2011:

        Especially this part:

"Our checks show that AT&T is testing and likely to start deploying gear for VoLTE in the very near-future with a “production network” expected to be up and running in mid-2013. Testing on the network with what AT&T terms as “friends” – essentially AT&T employees – is likely to start in 2Q 2013 with a rollout for consumers in 2H 2013. We believe that while AT&T has already deployed some Acme Packet SBCs for is initial VoLTE rollout, additional orders are likely to start in the near-future. Overall, we expect AT&T to be incrementally stronger over the next 3-6 months for Acme Packet followed by Verizon in mid-to-2H 2013.

2013 will be a “good year” for Acme, he thinks, as the company’s addressable market in VoLTE globally becomes more apparent:

As previously announced, Acme Packet is working on 27 VoLTE projects and we believe it has committed launch dates for 11-13 of these projects. In the U.S. […] With 105 commercial LTE networks in 48 countries and 194 LTE network deployments in progress according to Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), we believe the path to LTE and, by extension, VoLTE is becoming clear which we think will be favorable to Acme Packet in the next 4-6 quarters. We expect the company’s earnings power to accelerate faster than revenues given the leverage in the mode...."
