    • There are no retarded questions but the answers well who knows

Yes you will get $968 for 1000 shares

It all depends on what you mean by market price

The NAV (xbtox) will go down .968 at the open on ex-div 12/10/07 and close per the trading values of it's holdings at the market close

The share price (BTO) fluctuates with the trading so I don't know why the market would drop it automatically on the ex-div day but maybe they do.

      >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

For example look at ACG div .05 it does not open down .05 on ex day

      ex-div 11/7/07 opens at 8.14
on 11/6/07 it closes at 8.22

      ex-div 10/3/07 opens at 8.20
on 10/2/07 it closes at 8.24

    • The answers to both of your questions are "yes". If NAV ends 07 at say $7 (market price will be whatever it wants to be), the 08 dividend will be about $.175/qtr. If one assumes that banks, in general will survive, BTO will retain more NAV on the way up (due to lowere div). Exact opposite of 2007 when falling NAV was really hurt by relatively high qtrly payout. May be a decent entry point after this coming dividend.
