If a deal is struck, this thing will POP. Tesla is building a battery factory but that is still a couple years off and they are still "supply constrained". Until then, Tesla needs all the batteries they can buy. If HPJ convinces them they can reliably supply Tesla with a quality product, Tesla will buy every battery HPJ can produce from their new factory
I did read something to the effect that telsa was in need of batteries today. It was on the front page of of the home page here. I like that "possibility". The co has two factories and 3800 employees. They could very well be a good fit for telsa. The co has a couple of up and coming investor events as well. I also belive that buying the dip is a great opp and tremendous opp for the short term. This weakness will be short lived. The co is in a strong postion moving forward. Demand will pick up and this will move quickly. The world will always need batteries that is a given.
Not necessarily. The trick is to identify strong companies with good management. That protects the down side as much as possible. Then, among those, look for companies with perhaps a wildcard or two in play that might pay off big rather than the expected amount, and get in before the wildcard is played.
