Yeah, a stock trading in the bargain basement, at half it's book price, with a real earnings history... and a sure thing to return to profitabilty with a resulting increase in share price that oughta produce fireworks when the cycle turns up again.

Moved its main chip foundary to Singapore in a cost cutting move that's expected to produce good results eventually, staying abreast and often in the vanguard in faster chip developement. But experiencing unprecedented losses this year that're likely to ease some, but still carry over through '03.

Rated an "avoid" by Standard and Poor's and a "sell" by Argus Research when it was trading at $8.

Gotta think it's a contrarian's dream in here, though. One to accumulate at one's leisure and put away like knocked about and blighted acorns... but ones that'll one day spring into an orchard with leaves the color of money, and branches laden with solid gold fruit.

Fill in the usual disclaimer. Natch.
