    Doing her job?

That's a reasonable request, I'll quit using caps.

Risk, threaten away, and do what you will. I am not intimidated by your threats, nor by the potential consequences. Regarding my use of ethnic slurs, I think the village idiot could figure out that the words were meant to illustrate how using labels to cast people as incompetent is wrong.

And finally, I'm not using my position to add credibility. Only to say that not all people who have positions like me are sycophants or sellouts. I let my arguments speak for themselves.

As for you, you should know that Harvard is not the preeminent source of business education. I'm not discrediting them at all, they have a fine institution. Rather, I'm suggesting that running a company based on what you read in the HBR is suspect. Because everybody reads the HBR, to be different, to excel, you have to be your own thinker.

You can try to rationalize your conduct, but I refuse to do anything other than hold you accountable and the fact is if you used that language inside HP you'd be fired. And further stating you are a manager and using that language on this board is reprehensible.

"And finally, I'm not using my position to add credibility. Only to say that not all people who have positions like me are sycophants or sellouts."

Which of course implies that people in your position and that don't hold your views are therefore sycophants and sellouts. Which is exactly what you have been trying to erroneously persuade the board is the case, by using the already inflammatory topic of bonuses. To do that you told this board that hp is "bribing" managers. When it fact HP is paying bonuses to key contributors to prevent valuable and critical IP from being raided by competitors.

And what I can easily conclude from your behavior and words is that you are a malcontent, disgruntled because you did not get a bonus.

And now we have a better understanding of your motivations and gain you are one who is acting out of a unwarranted sense of grievance against HP.

Well to that I say stop it right now. Your behavior here clearly demonstrates you did not deserve that bonus.

      • Risk, Thank you for your response.

Did you not read my previous post that said I was leaving HP to work for free in a 3rd world country? I guess not, because you'd know I don't have any grievances to air, I'm leaving because I want to, because I'm pursuing something very important to me, and hopefully for the benefit of many. Do you think I care about retention bonuses from a personal standpoint? I'm leaving HP in ten days. I announced my decision to my manager months ago.
Retention bonuses are irrelevant for me. Maybe I would have received one had I stayed, maybe not. I don't know, and it doesn't matter.

My passion for HP is really regarding the people I am leaving behind. A great group of people and a great organization, sadly being used and mistreated by a Khmer Rouge-style, megalomanical, totalitarian, delusional, disgrace of a CEO, and the buffoons who are rubber-stamping her gibberish. In actuality, I feel tremendous sympathy and sorrow for HP's workforce, who according to the polling I've seen, oppose the merger at least 2-1, and who don't deserve the divisive, condescending, disrespectful baloney they are being force-fed by Carly et al.

As for you, I have the same wishes as I have for everybody else; to be happy, to avoid suffering, and to help everybody else do the same.

Maybe one day you will, to use the phrase you are so fond of, get it.

        Mike

It's clear mr was using those words to analogize the latest BoD characterization of WH. It's also clear that risk_realist is as dumb as a box of rocks. (Since she doesn't understand analogies, she won't understand this one, but she is ignoring my posts anyways.)

Is risk_realist a typical HP manager? If so, I may have to dump my shares afterall.
