    I agree, but the owner of a gun is not morally neutral. He or she should be held responsible whenever his or her gun is used to harm or threaten anyone, regardless of who is actually holding the gun at the time (but, who also must be held responsible).

      Slightly incorrect. A person steals your car, drives over someone and kills them, are you responsible? Or the driver who stole your car?

      Same goes for a gun. Same goes for a shovel. Same goes for a knife.

      It's called taking responsibility for your actions.
