The other question should be "Did Hurd take liberties with accounting to make his reign look better than it actually was"? HP turned around so quickly and now it's back in the doldrums! Seems a little odd to me. I wish the SEC would look at the books of the S&P 500 so investors don't get ripped off. It seems too easy to doctor books these days. Look at Oracle, same thing is going on over there. Keep buying companies and doctor the books.
