By all accounts, Obama won the second debate. Instapolls showed that, it was the consensus among talking heads, and anybody who watched the debate knew it.
But not if you live in the alternate reality that is RightWingWorld. In RWW Romney either won the debate outright or (Alternate Reality B) would have won the debate if Candy Crowley hadn't insisted on pointing out that he was wrong about Obama's comments on the attack in Libya. In RWW Obama isn't really the President (because he was born in--you pick it--Kenya, Indonesia, one of the moons of Saturn). In RWW the economy isn't really improving, the unemployment rate isn't really dropping, George W. Bush didn't preside over the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression, black and brown Americans are racists while southern white men are fair-minded and never discriminate, etc. RWW is a closed system that facts are never allowed to enter. Nothing illustrates this better, to my mind, than the way Fox reported on Romney's terrible gaffe about Libya. The Fox "News" headline read something like, "Candy Crowley Interferes With Romney's Great Moment".
On this board, the ambassadors from RWW are constantly posting items that imply (without any factual support, but who needs facts anyway?) that the swing states are swinging toward Romney, that women are moving toward Romney, that Obama is on the verge of being kicked out of office, etc.
I guess that just goes to show the truth of the old idea that before you can #$%$ somebody else you have to believe your own #$%$.
