The issue HP is crying about was all bean counter related. Nothing to do with product or engineers. Amazing part is they are complaining about missing $5B in an $11B deal. If not Enron, seems like one of the 300 people doing due diligence would have caught that elephant. Then again, HP has owned Autonomy for how long (several reporting periods)? Even if a legit complaint, why was this not recognized and identified to shareholders until now? This is going to be a mess for some time.
