I don't think that comment is quite appropriate, but they certainly haven't been doing the job they are being paid to do. There are a few comments here about Obama's (it appears, in spite of their atrocious spelling) supposed inability to negotiate. But who should he negotiate with? Obama has put a proposal on the table for discussion. It is fairly complete and lists what he whats to do to begin the process of solving our financial problems. But where's any alternative? Boehner and his counterparts have not yet put anything on the table as an alternative. Negotiation is not possible when there is nothing to negotiate about. Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell, where's your beef? If you have any alternative, please show us what it is, otherwise what is there to discuss or to compare with Obama's proposal? What should Obama negotiate about, and with who, without any alternative proposed.
Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell need to get off their butts and tell all of us what they want they think is a better alternative.
