Humans are mere ants...in comparison to vastness of Planet Mother Earth

Can you imagine the brain-washing, the conceitedness, the idiocy.....of any human actually believing that humans can have an impact on a vast PLANET???

    OMG........that's insane...........

Over BILLIONS of years, this planet Earth has seen....magnetic reversal of the poles, tectonic plate shifts, earthquakes, massive volcanoes, solar flares, recurring ice ages, asteroid bombardment, worldwide floods.....and it's still here.....

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Keep on thinking that as coastal cities sink beneath the waves. Norfolk VA is ground zero for the impacts of global warming. Sea level at Norfolk has risen 18 inches in the past 100 years. Large parts of the city now flood from average rain storms. Sea level at Norfolk is predicted to rise 36 inches in the next 100 years, effectively making the city of 200,000+ uninhabitable.

There is no longer any serious scientific disagreement about human caused global warming; the only areas of uncertainty are how fast and how intense the warming will be. And that in turn depends on whether humanity takes effective steps to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

How many tens of billions of dollars in damage did the flooding from Hurricane Sandy cause? Whatever the answer, it is a drop in the bucket compared to the damage that coastal cities around the world will suffer in the coming decades as global CO2 concentrations continue to rise and the oceans rise right along with them.

    • And Wall St. Is the magnifying glass that make any disappear....poof!
