The government can't find all it's data errors, and you expect credit ratings companies to be able to validate every single record they have? LMAO - Now that's funny - and government regulations aren't going to solve it. It's every individuals responsibility to check their own credit status. The only requirement is for companies to act quickly to make repairs when they are in error.
If there is a significant fine for reported data errors that aren't fixed in a few months, and they will all be fixed very quickly. It's not every error that's the problem, but just the ones that cause problems for innocent people.
