while it looks wise to get out of HPQ asap I wouldn't switch to AAPL as they are in a lose / lose situation right now.
With the US the only remaining stronghold for Apple the company is most likely to lose the fight against Android entirely. To protect, regain or even increase market share the company will have to sacrifice margins which the company obviously is willing to do as shown by in the introduction of the IPad Mini and the new IPhone 5C. The problem is that cheaper products will heavily cannibalize their higher priced siblings (as evidenced by the IPad Mini once again) and therefore would more likely add to problems rather then solving them.
Remember also that Apple's great margins are originated by selling mediocre or even heavily outdated hardware (like the IPhones or the IPad Mini) at premium prices. With Google selling top notch devices at half the price Apple won't be able to protect neither margins nor market share.
The new Nexus 7 and the upcoming Moto X as well as the Nexus 5 will eat deeply into Apple's market share and obviously Samsung has taken the lead with regards to smart watches.
So there's no way Apple can win in today's arenas - they will have to drive innovation once again and introduce the next really big thing (which for sure won't be a smartwatch or something equally useless) - they should focus on the TV market but unfortunately once again Samsung is the 500 pound gorilla there.
So I guess things will become worse for Apple over time until the company will be able to come up with a great new innovation for the masses.
