HWP TRADING TIP FOR NEXT WEEK 3

HWP will continue moving up next week. Trading zone: $62-$66.
The idea of DELL buying HP is as laughable as Mexico buying USA.
This company has tremendous brain power. Some of the HP products
makes you think probably Martian people work there. HP is working
on a number of projects that will bring lots of money in the
future. It is now sowing the seeds. you will reap the harvest
later. So do not waste your time thinking someone will buy HP.
The price is low now, so buy HWP as much as you can. The future
of technology is bright. How do you spell technology? HWP.

      S&P Analysts' Comments - 3/20/98

S&P analyst Megan Graham-Hackett continues to recommend investors accumulate Hewlett-Packard (HWP) and Sun Microsystems (SUNW) after the Wall Street Journal reported that HWP plans to market its own version of Sun's Java software for electronic devices. She believes that while HWP's move could be a psychological blow to Sun's Java stronghold, it is not likely to have a material impact on either company's earnings.

S&P analyst Herman Saftlas reiterated a buy on Guidant Corp (GDT) and raised his 1998 earnings per share estimate for the company after it told him that it plans to file its new DUET coronary stent with the FDA in the second quarter. He also noted that GDT just released its new Ventak AV II DR implantable cardioverter defibrillator, the first to incorporate dual-chamber adaptive rate pacing capability.

S&P analyst Maureen Carini maintains avoid ratings on Philip Morris Cos (MO) and UST Inc (UST) and a hold on RJR Nabisco Holdings (RN) after an Indiana court ruled that cigarette makers are not liable for the death of non-smoking nurse. She still believes investors should exercise caution until the outcome of the national tobacco settlement is finalized.
