No, CCS is not publicly traded. However my point is that ZUMZ is like Hot Topic. ZUMZ is based on a fad. The fad is the skater culture, after that fad is over guess what happens. ZUMZ is popular because of the clothes and fashion styles it sells. All of these styles have been long been available at CCS. ZUMZ has just brought these styles to the mall. People that are into skating buy at CCS. Teeny boppers that are into the new fad buy at ZUMZ. I want to like this stock but I am too skeptical.
No, you are wrong! First, you are talking about CCS, which isn't a stock a person can invest in (its not even a national co.); this site for investing discussions, so what is your point?. Next, action sports isn't a fad; action sports is growing astronomically; it is traditional sports that are on decline. Next, out of the PUBLICLY traded actions sports retailers, ZUMIEZ dominates! Next, Zumiez isn't like Hot Topic, ZUMZ hires employees that are knowledgeable about the products (I know personally because me, as well as my kids skate and buy merchandise there). Zumiez has many skate demo's promoting the top skate teams (Ex. Flip Feast Tour). Zumiez has a calculated atmosphere to appeal to their target demographic. No, Zumiez can not be a mom and pop shop with some krusty old skater guy that is the owner (no national chain can do that, but zumz can beat them on price and selection). ZUMZ is a well run growing, profitable national retailer of action sports that has an excellent strategy! Do some research (read some analyst reports about Zumz) and you will find who is the leader in the sector! This is about investing, so if you don't like or believe in this sector that is fine, but if someone wants to invest in this sector, Zumiez is by far the leader!!!!!
