We really won't know anything until post-xmas when the true condition of the consumer and the economy is easier to gauge. Absolutely this is a brutal retail environment... Best Buy just said the most challenging in their entire 42 year history... but all of the speculation on TUES' future in terms of bankruptcy or double digits in a few years is pure guesswork. TUES could easily survive if the downturn isn't as bad as predicted. Similarly, TUES could easily go bankrupt (along with many retailers) if the economy tanks worse than expected.
In TUES' favor is a balance sheet not nearly as heinous as many retailers with big debt and red ink. TUES is shaky, though... it is in the wrong sector and it seems to me the company's fate is clearly out of its own hands at this point.
Anyone who states anything categorical regarding the company's future in the short term going forward is a moron in my opinion. Take a breath and take a break.
