Tuesday Morning Corporation Message Board

    Listened to the call

Rouleau is reasonably impressive to be 74.

Have to say that despite the poor earnings, I think the future is quite bright.

They've got valuable land in Dallas. And lots of opportunites for reducing inventory and increasing turns.

They arent going to store stuff from season to season. If it doesnt sell, they are going to reduce it until its gone.

Sounds like they are going to be delivering better values to customers too.

Lots of upside here. Assuming they can hire someone who doesnt quit on them a few months later.

Wow. They've got several acres of land in Dallas Texas and you think that's going to carry the whole company? Someone should school you about the fundamentals of investing.

    • I was surprised to see gross margin didn't drop further than it did.

$30M in book value lost in last 12 months.

Not packing away stale merchandise is a good move. Dollar General went thru a similar change in tactics prior to being bought out back in the mid 00's.

Stores much less crowded, but now seem to be increasingly filled with older less desirable merchandise.

Tuesday Morning, TJX (TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Home Goods), Ross, Stein Mart, Big Lots, Burlington, ??? all bidding for same closeout/overstock merchandise even though manufacturers are much leaner than in past years.

      I don't get your optimism.
