Anythings possible and with a strong sell you obviously are betting against the analysts.
09:39 NVDA NVIDIA estimates raised above consensus at Morgan Stanley (22.49 +0.07)
Morgan Stanley raises their Q1 (April) est to $0.29 from $0.26 (consensus $0.27) and raises their FY06 est to $1.40 from $1.35 (above consensus) ahead of earnings on May 12. Firm calls NVDA one of their favorite stocks, as they believe NVDA's earnings power can at least double during the next 2 years. They still consider margin assumptions conservative, leaving upside to their ests. Reits Overweight and $40 price tgt.
I have a small put position on NVDA so I have some bias here, but the analyst upping estimates does no good for NVDA. It only raises investor expectations.
QLGC "beat" by 3 cents and it didn't do them much good.
NVDA fell 30% from the beginning of March. It didn't do that because everything is great. Everything is great at GOOG; it didn't fall much before soaring.
The CEO, who didn't have a selling history, sold 1 million shares at the best price in nearly 3 years. You have to wonder why.
Morgan Stanley needed to get some clients out of NVDA (and they got out), so it couldn't hold that much of the gain yesterday.
