When To Watch: Wednesday, Nov. 9. Nvidia's (nasdaq: NVDA - news - people ) chips generate whiz-bang graphics. The company's earnings are eye-popping, too. On Wednesday, analysts expect President and Chief Executive Jen-Hsun Huang to report Q3 2005 earnings of 35 cents per share, up from 15 cents for the same period a year ago. The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company's chips are used by major PC makers, including Dell (nasdaq: DELL - news - people ), Gateway (nyse: GTW - news - people ) and Apple Computer (nasdaq: AAPL - news - people ). The company also produces complementary graphics software for drivers and special chipsets, or clusters of components that speed the display of graphics. Competitors include Intel (nasdaq: INTC - news - people ), ATI Technologies (nasdaq: ATYT - news - people ) and Creative Technology (nasdaq: CREAF - news - people ). Nvidia's sales in fiscal 2005 totaled just over $2 billion, up about 10% from the year before, and net income hit $100 million, up about 35% from 2004.
