Intel Ivy Bridge-Y Mobile Series Specifications Detailed – Feature 10W TDP

The y series chips will go head to head against the a15 in the larger tablets.
The Phoronix compared the exyno 5 to the tegra 3 and the i3-330m in the following article

    phoronixDOTcom/scanDOTphp?page=article&item=samsung_exynos5_dual&num=1

the i3 was much faster than the exyno5

I used the next site to compare the y series

    notebookcheckDOTnet/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html

    The lowest number is faster
    i3-330m 155
    exyno5 390
    tegra 3 599
    i7-3689y 118
    i5-3439y 131
    i3-3229y 253
    2129y 372

    • Just a reminder of were arm soc's stand in terms of performance.

    • So what you are trying to say is that you don't like ARM based Tegra chips...

      • Just another short wasting everybody's time here posting anything that MIGHT be interpreted as negative. The truth of the matter nobody should care. Intel has failed the mobile market thus far not just due to their technological blunders (Atom), lack of executive vision (CEO steps down), but their awful marketing. The truth of the matter is that just like IBM got labeled slow, stark and uni-dimensional back when PC's were taking off so does Intel now in the mobile market. They can't shake the Win-Tel stigma and earning design wins aren't so easy for them as they were in the past..."we're Intel and there is virtually nobody else so pay us what we want" just doesn't cut it anymore. With the onset of mobile movement those days of that (mono)oligopoly are long over.
