NEW! nVidia publishes more Tegra 4 benchmarks vs Snapdragon 600/800......WOW!

MUST SEE THE CHARTS OF COMPARISON in
    notebookcheckDOTnet/Nvidia-publishes-more-Tegra-4-benchmarks.88802.0.html

""Compared to the S600 as found on the HTC One and Asus PadFone Infinity, Nvidia promises more than twice the processing power in Specint2000 and SunSpider JavaScript benchmarks as well as overall browser loading times. Even Qualcomm's highly regarded Krait architecture was not quite able to deliver the same performance-per-MHz as Nvidia's Cortex-A15-driven APU.""

""Regardless, the upcoming Tegra 4 chip will be setting new standard upon launch for the mobile world. Nvidia boasts an impressive 57 FPS in GLBenchmark Egypt 2.5 (1080p offscreen), or about 20 percent higher than the Snapdragon S800. The Snapdragon S4 (as found on the Nexus 4 smartphone) was shown to be surpassed by an even wider margin. Notebookcheck will certainly update with further benchmarks of our own once mobile devices with the Tegra 4 APU are finally made available.""

Note: The synthetic benchmarks comparisons are derived as follows:
Tegra 4 scores: measured, optimization continuing
Snapdragon 800 scores: based on Qualcomm marketing claims

      • my impression is that NV never took Samsung exynos seriously - at least not as seriously as it does Snapdragon SoCs.

Recent reports showed that Exynos ran into serious problems with heat and/or imcompatibility with LTE, thus (I am guessing) NV might consider it a moot point to make comparison with a half-dead competition product.

Note: I think the Exynos 5 Octa's LTE issue may be related to the thermal one - in that integration or bundling with an LTE modem could seriously raise the TDP of the SoC. Just speculating from reading the internet chatter.
