NVIDIA to return $1 billion to shareholders in current fiscal year

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 11, 2013) - NVIDIA today announced that it will return $1 billion this fiscal year to shareholders in the form of stock buybacks and dividend payments, including $100 million in stock being repurchased this quarter.

This will bring to $1.2 billion the total capital returned to shareholders since the company announced its quarterly dividend program in November 2012.

    • Huang said his confidence in generating cash from Nvidia's new markets, including Tegra as well cloud-based graphics products for gaming, workstations and data centres, underpinned the decision to return $1 billion to shareholders in the current fiscal year.

    • Hi Ibexx,
      How are you doing?

Just one question with two parts OK.

Have you written your calls yet? Or and please forgive me but are you a hired PR hack or a Nvidia investor relations employee?

The reason I ask, is no one would pump a stock as relentlessly as you if he wasn't paid for it. Especially all the way down from $25 two years ago.

Take your time to answer......but does it really matter?

      • as I have said about ibey before - he offers a very valuable window into the inside atmosphere of nvda. And right now, with that constant bashing of anything that is non-nvda, head honcho is getting pretty desperate - the whole Tegra program failed because the market he chased is non-existing.

R&D $300M per year... you believe that, I've a bridge to sell you. Long before he picked up Icera and all the extra activities, he had said that the breakeven is $1B sales. Jens' words, not mine. From 10Q Q3 '12, loss of $40M on sales of $240M = breakeven of $1.3B assuming 50% margins.

I predicted that nvda will shift the books/numbers around. Sure enuf, now suddenly Tegra at $700M is 'breaking even'.

Of course you can listen to Hans 'nvda to $40' Mossesman and Jen instead.........

      • I bet you got beat up a lot as a punk growing up in your trailer park.

      • No one would PAY for a google Cut-N-Paste act.

He is lost, wondering this message board trying to figure out
what happen to his retirement money.

After bragging here about buying thousands of Nvidia shares at $16.01
just weeks before Nvidia would see $8s he lost it and hasn't been right since IMHO.

Cut-N-Pasting JUNK that he doesn't even read half the time.

Cut-N-Pasting articles over a year old because he didn't bother to look at the date.

Bashing Apple, Intel, AMD, QCOM, and ANYTHING that is NOT Nvidia day after day and for what?

Posting NONSENSE about Nvidia goes to $100 and then running away from his own words.

PostingNONSENSE about how much he likes Jen and some how that makes Nvidia a great investment.

He is LOST in a message board with his Nvidia paper looking for his money, that is his failing.

And you don't get off easy, you j777kxx, YOU can't stop making up JUNK and you know it.

Like that counting comments NONSENSE, round GPU dies and Nvidia has more cash than you know who?
ALL BS and you know it.

You deserve each other. LOST and CLUELESS wondering a message board married to a bad investment together.

      • j7777, I had you on ignore once, and now I'm reminded why. I'm not trying to defend ibexx, but you can't call today's investor's conference as something to ignore and not pass on articles about . . I think this and other articles being posted here by ibexx are objective and worth posting, not pumping. So really, you want to pick a petty fight here on this??? Whatever . .

        Sentiment: Strong Buy
