am not a florist but I do believe in FLWS 3 pronged
strategy: online, telephone, bricks & mortar. FLWS is not
considered a pure internet stock so that's why it's stock
price is down and considered more of a retail stock
like Barnes & Noble but once online sales grow to
become a bigger percentage of revenue, you'll see the
Interesting post I read about FLWS
potentially replacing Proflowers.com on the Bluemountain.com
site since Excite has acquired Bluemountain and FLWS
has a partnership with them. This would be huge win
for FLWS if it could displace Proflowers.com -
imagine all the millions of visitors clicking on FLWS
link after sending an e-greeting.
more info on this?
So what if FLWS gives less commissions.
florists are still getting the business.
I still think
FLWS will succeed in the long run. I am looking for

Mark my words!
being classified as a mutual fund because they
dont own enough of the companies that they invest in.
If infact they are ever classifed as a mutual fund
it would be disasterous for their business model
because then they would be restricted by a ton of banking

Thats one of the resons
they had to buy Alta Vista because they needed to
quickly own some big revenue producing entities. Flowers

interesting candidate for CMGI.
florists refusing to fill the orders. If you have
an understanding of how the florist trade works then
you will understand why this company may do poorly.
With FTD and other wire services, a florist has a
company that is there, independent from them, but
supporting them in new productand ideas, training, credit
card support etc. These wire services do obtain a fee
but most florists feel that in the long run it is
well worth it. Now, let me ask you what has
1800Flowers done for your local florist, go ask them!
Its me, others are joining in strictly with our
opinions on this stock and the company's plan. Since its a
public company, they are entitled to Public Comments.
And I believe Mr. McCann would be called a public
figure with all his advertising exposure. Could Ernie be
things the three apparently new shorts that have
joined Ernie are simply Ernie with different identities.
They even make the same spelling mistakes. Please
don't think there are all of the sudden a bunch of
shorts coming out of the wood work, it simply Ernie
trying his best to manipulate the stock price by posting
blatent and public slander and lies.
If I were you
ernie I would be careful because believe me you don't
want a company with a 150+ million dollars coming
after your ass with a slander lawsuit.
