e What's the point of sitting on half billion in capital with no pressing new term capex needs?
Taking 4 million ozs off the market would have a minor effect on silver price as that much less is available for industrial users (the bullion banks shorts have to hide the fact they don't control as much silver as they claim)
The more tangible benefit of holding silver and not USD is when silver is $50+ you double your money instead just having a dollar drawing dust and cobwebs.
Silver miners need to be adamant about the fact silver, like gold, IS MONEY and take a bullish long term stance.
Hell, a few of PAAS' mines can't even make a profit with silver in the low 20s so isn't it obvious the floor for silver is rising?
What is PAAS new cash costs going to be with the Dolores aquisition? Will the gold byproduct keep Ag-eq costs under $10?
Would it not make sense for PAAS to next purchase AUMN in all cash and get an immediate 3.5-4M oz boost and add 400M oz Ag eq? There's even room for a major expansion too. And they have a 62M oz silver find in Argentina.
After that, they can buy Orko for a buck or so. PAAS is playing their hand at La Preciosa very cleverly imo. They want to build that mine I bet.
The addition of Minefinders gives PAAS that extra cash flow boost to afford to go out and buy a $300M property every year.
While everyone else is moaning about the shares cratering, I am sanguine that PAAS will be digging 50-60M+ oz in 4 or 5 years.
