It would not surprize me to see consolidation in this sector, starting with PAAS. There stock price, Market cap, makes it the number one acquisition target for a larger player. Merger mondays could seriously hurt the shorts.
PAAS is not a buyout candidate, its much too big. I can see PAAS being a buyer of smaller companies which could work very well though. IMO, silver is heading to 30-40 within a year which should give us a double by this time next year.
It's not that big for players that want to diversify in to silver or more silver. Newmont, Goldcorp, Glencore, or those huge miners from Australia. Fresnilo, and i'm sure there are many others that are looking at PAAS. Ideally it will stay independent and leverage its silver.
