“Ed Snyder of Charter Equity wrote that the problems facing RIM are likely to have the greatest impact on Triquint Semiconductor, Skyworks Solutions, Avago Technologies and Anadigics .”
What is wrong with above statement? If RIM is out then AAPL, HTC, Samsung or somebody else or all will fill the gap and the net result is the same. When a new handset maker replaces RIM, it still uses TQNT, SWKS or AVGO chips and it does not matter if TQNT or others sell to RIM or a RIM replacement. If TQNT does not sell 10 chips to RIM then it will sell it to AAPL or Samsung that will be RIM replacement. Similarly, if 10 customers do not buy blackberry then they buy something else like iPhone.
