I can't understand why they would do a Secondary before the ex-dividend. Now don't they have to pay the dividend to those new shares? Why not wait 1 day?
Good explanation on another board why companies sell equity offerings just prior to ex-dividend dates.
If they wait until after ex-div, they are issuing shares below BV which is dilutive; if they do it before, it is accretive.
the SPO will be done/complete on March 22 per press release......after the ex-dividend date of March 20th. They are waiting the extra day !!!!!!!! They are not that crazy to waste money $$$$$$$
Incorrect. The offering may be completed by March 22, but the shares are selling TODAY. Look at the volume.
you have to buy the stock today (March 19th) to receive the dividend......per my broker....March 20th is the ex-dividend date.
it's going to go down another .29 tomorrow. what a great deal for us
You think maybe all those buying at 10.20 p/s, ex- dividend might make this a 10.49 value today?
Glad i got out all but 100 shares at 10.70-ish a few weeks back.
